Infotainment System Restarting Randomly

Hi

Has anyone recently experienced the infotainment system restarting itself when starting the car. It usually happens a few minutes after turning on the ignition.

It's intermittent some days it will work just fine.

Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

Thanks for the replies guess it's not just me then.
Looks like we will have to wait for another update to fix this issue.

VW might finally sort the issues out when the mk9 comes out

Never seen such a mess feels like we going around in circles update comes out fixes one issue the a new one pops up then another update fixes that then something thing else goes wrong and round and round we go.

Yet some don't have any issues at all. Had my Golf (RLine 1.5 eTSI) from May '22, approaching 9,000 miles - no issues at all mechanically or software related - it just works.

Yep. Was very frequent before 1896, then OK. Since 1899, it has been happening occasionally. Including the awful bug where your Predictive Cruise Control starts reading MPH signs as KPH, slamming your brakes to get to 43mph on the motorway.

Yes, 1200 miles in with 1899sw and it’s been (dare I say it) perfect! My car is also a 22MY, my hunch is that from 22MY onwards various hardware was updated and it can now handle the updates properly, early cars seem to have problems regardless of sw version installed!

Mine is doing this regular crash and restart of infotainment soon after startup too. Very annoying.

I recently noticed that almost always it crashes the second time I start the car. Last example was this: started car at home and drove to the bank, quick 2min inside and back to the car. Start car and drive away, infotainment crash..
It happened a few times like this but I don't really know if it's the cause.

Mine does it when Parking Assist symbol appears on dashboard but dont have parking assist, can happen any time when driving.
