My local dealer always provides loaners. It's great. Gotten a passat 2.5, fully loaded 2012 tiguan, and yesterday bare bones 2014 tiguan with only 1200 miles.
First, does the awd system weigh that much or did they change something from 12 to 14. The first 2012 fully loaded awd tiggy they loaned me was not impressive. The 2014 fwd I drove yesterday was remarkable around town. Really felt not much slower than my stock gti. Feels slower on highway like 60mph to 80mph. But around town, 10mph to 50mph, that thing is plenty fun.
Second, cool new gas cap on 2014s. Only one click and they have a much niftier holder than the notches in my gti.
Third, what awful seats are on the bare bones tiggy. Flat as a park bench. No support. Take a corner fast and you gotta almost hang to the steering wheel. I can only imagine how pissed off id be if I overlooked the seats, bought one, and then realized how much they suck. And not just for sporty driving, these things are uncomfortable.
Also the manual recline is the worst.
