I doubt any car company will slash the price in half just to bring it to the US, not good business.

Dont be so sure about that, according to the VW UK site if you take the base price of a GTI and use the exchange rates it comes out to 36,000 which is well above what a GTI starts at in the states.

actually the new Subaru STI is starting to grow in my taste...i may probably go that route onwards on my next car...plus with loads of aftermarket parts, you can reach same power as this car.

cars in the uk are relatively much more expensive there than here

The FQ400 has always been incredibly sick. I've seen the previous version pull a 3.5s 60 sprint. And there is a cool video out there somewhere where it runs with a Carerra GT on the track.
