The intake LOOKS good but I don't think the wires to the MAF are long enough to reach the MAF housing on it. Also, it looks like there should be one more bend in the tubing to put the filter in front of the battery.

That looks a nice dp...

Wish there was some options on parts here in the UK...

25bhp going from a standard dp with 2 cats to a 3" dp with no cats..... easy!

Anyone on here ran the 2.0fsi engine with no cats!? Im interested to hear how you got on...

Thanks

Since most have argued the 3.0 isn't the way to go, I don't know myself, I will mention the downpipe with cat in 2.5" is $450 from www.techtonicstuning.com . That is another good deal. Unless someone has proven the 3.0" is the way to go.

Sent an e-mail to ATP:

I was wondering if you had a picture of your intake installed on a new GTI. I am worried about the MAF wires being long enough to reach the MAF housing. Plus, I am just wondering how it looks on the car. Also, how does the aftermarker DV thing work since the FSI's have an electronic DV connected to the turbo?

From ATP:

Jamie,

Picture attached as you've requested.

MAF wire is more than enough reach.

The aftermarket DV port is there so that when you install an aftermarket DV,
the kit provides a reroute location after the MAF for proper air metering.

If you look at the stock integrated DV valve, the diaphram is prone to
rupture so we will offer a conversion kit that will bolt right into this. In
the picture, you'll see the DV port hidden because it's designed to be
installed the other way when an aftermarket DV is not installed. We'll
provide pictures of the DV reroute when that kit is released, but it's quite
trick.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

I like the looks of that intake. I'm thinkn about doin that with the Evoms heat shield and engine cover.

I'm surprised no one has jumped on about the "hot" air intake. That part does not impress me, but the dp does.

its called ram air intake, provides more torque while sacrificing top end.

also, that intake has no kinds of support anywhere. the DP looks nice though.
