So I finally got the randomly sticking-on Autohold fixed by VW dealer. 1 year / 5,000 in also took car for tyre / front tracking check, was told tyre wear was an even 5-6mm across tread on all 4 corners, though front tracking was out a tad (adjusted, transformed the car) also an issue with left rear suspension. Mentioned it to VW at time of Autohold fix, included attached print out and was told left rear shock absorber was leaking (!) and would be replaced under warranty, which it was 2 weeks later when a loan car, new Polo, was available. Did think car felt a bit, 'squiffy' on left rear quarter, a bit like the tyre pressure was down, wasn't, was 'other issue', which was fixed, car certainly feels better again, though not such an improvement as was front tracking adjusted. So all is well, that is all....
