I don't think it will, tbh. The Supra has been out of production for a while, giving it a lot of time to marinate in the hearts and minds of enthusiasts. People will like it, sure, and it'll be a good car. But I don't think it'll fill the shoes of the A80 Supra.

Gonna be first to say it. original supra was nothing more than a 90s jdm mustang thats good for straight lines only.
This new one is gonna be amazing all around.
Lets all take a moment to laugh at the NSX reboot :lol:
i still have a nostalgic feeling for eclipse gsx and 2002/3 subaru wrx bugeye, in blue with the momo wheel.
that off center hood bump and what not.

NSX is a perfect example. The original one was SO GOOD that the new one didn't have a chance. Especially when they priced it way too high, relative to the original NSX.
The A90 Supra is priced just right, imo. Right on par with what the A80 twin turbo cost, when you account for inflation.
As for the straight line comment, the only reason the A80 Supra was so good at JGTC racing was because Toyota ripped out the 2JZ and installed the smaller, lighter 3SGTE from the GT-Four and MR2 in order to position it further back and lower.
