Replace Infotainment Unit?

Hi all

I have a 2020 Life which I have an awful time with the infotainment system. I know there is a massive thread on the updates etc below but my car is stubbornly not being offered (either OTA or by the dealer) an update to the software. So I'm stuck on 1664 software version. It's been back to the dealer twice and I've been told, there are no update available for my version of the car. Which is driving me literally mad.

So in desperation I was wondering if I can physically replace the hardware for the infotainment system (from a newer car), if so can anyone point me in the direction of which parts I would need to replace and coding that would need to be applied.

Perhaps the wrong set of forums but thought I would start here.

The dealer CAN update your car, there is a specific update that the dealer must undertake that will move you up to the later software and allow OTA updates, I cannot remember the specifics about this particular process, but I’m sure someone else will give you that info.
