Satnav Mk 8 Traffic Updates

I may be being a bit thick, but my Satnav doesnt give traffic updates, it doesnt show traffic congetion etc. Any ideas what I am may be doing wrong? Do I need to alter any settings? I have my phone linked to the car with Bluetooth.

In order to have traffic updates you should have an active plan with We Connect services. Do you have an active subscription ?

Ahh!! Its a brand new car, so it looks like I have to download the app and register etc, thanks very much for the advice.
