figured i'd start the 2023 season thread now that we're less than 100 days til FP1.
24 races. Qatar returns, Las Vegas is added, France is out(again), and China has been cancelled with the rumor being that Portimao(Portugal) will take it's place.
- Vettel retires with Fernando Alonso taking his place alongside perennial Little Billy Lance Stroll at Aston Martin.
- Peirre Gasly moves to Alpine alongside Esteban Ocon making the French team have two French drivers.
- Nyck de Vreis takes Gasly's spot at Toro Rosso thus giving the grid two full time Dutch drivers(ew), while Yuki Tsunoda is on year three with the team.
- Mick Schumacher is out at Haas, with Nico Hulkenberg to take his seat alongside Kevin Magnussen, who have a history together.
- Ricciardo is back to Red Bull as a third driver with a fellow Australian in Oscar Piastri taking his place at McLaren, who retains Lando Norris.
- Latifi retires as the GOAT at Williams and is replaced with American Logan Sargeant, the first full time American driver in F1 since Scott Speed way back in 2007(fun fact, Vettel ran his entire F1 career with out a full time American on the grid lol).
- Ferrari(LeClerc/Sainz), Alfa Romeo(Bottas/Guanyu), Mercedes(Hamilton/Russell), and Red Bull(Verstappen/Perez) keep their lineups unchanged.
