You don't necessarily have to go through me. The main reason why I suggest calling him up is because he does more than just sling parts. He takes into consideration what your goals are and gives you tuning options as well as advise you on what to look out for.

1/8th mile is pointless unless you've got a car that has traction. Even then, it doesn't really show the whole powerband. That's not even all of 3rd gear in my car.

I think the 1/8 track has a lot of good points. Seems like light to light racing. Yeah traction is must and its way less forgiving. You can't make it up in your top end. Our 1/4 miles track is garbage the closest good ones are in Boise and Vegas.
