Ok, looking to get advise on tools to outfit my now cleaned up garage. Both cars can fit into it now yahoo...

Back to the point, what tools are consider a must have for working on a car. I am not a mechanic by any means, but I would like to get my hands dirty with this Mkv. I have screw drivers, a drill and stuff, but these are mainly for house crap. What do I need to make sure I need be for I goof around on this car.

There are mechanic tool sets that you can buy. Check online stores. You need torque wrenches, some good lighting, ramps, a good jack and jackstands, rags, gloves, eye protection, etc... To change the oil on your mkv you need a 36mm socket and the oil filter drain tool.

Just depends on how much you wanna spend and what type of quality you're looking for.

Sears has a $60 torque wrench, but it also has $230 one. I mean what is the difference. Seems to be crazy to spend over $170 more.
