The only way AWD happens without a hybrid setup is if they push the engine significantly upward and forward to accommodate the front axles. Then you basically end up with a coupe body on an AWD Impreza, which is pointless. Goodbye CG height and weight distribution.

And there's no way they put the outgoing ancient EJ257 into the next-generation GT86. This article just makes no sense.

Brz's don't need AWD they need a turbo. Even like 230hp would be fine with a small bump in torque
