No one lied about Afghanistan. Everyone supported the invasion, except a handful of people like me, that saw it as a war crime to invade another country to get a terrorist group that operated across international boundaries. There was just as much justification to invade Germany, as they operated and trained there too. I was in the extreme minority. No lies were needed, the public wholly support illegally invading Afghanistan. Liberals and conservatives wanted blood for 9/11 and GW gave the mob what they wanted. And don't lie.
Anyone that believed that BS yellow cake nonsense had already decided we should commit another war crime and invade Iraq too. GW's own Sec of State didn't believe it when he stood in front of everyone at the UN. The same people that think Russia was forced to invade multiple neighbors were in full support of invading Iraq. Only a few weirdos like me, that actually understood why his father didn't depose Sadam were against invading. The point paper by HW and Baker that explained why we didn't depose Sadam, spelled out in detail exactly what would happen. And it happened to a T. It was HW and Baker that held off Rummy, Wolfawitz and Cheney's aspirations of a full invasion of Iraq after the Gulf War. GW surrounded himself with the same war mongers and surprise, we invaded Iraq. And the American public were all for it and wanted to invade since the Gulf War. Especially conservatives. They were mad at HW for not invading Iraq.
Nato and US didn't provoke the invasion of Georgia, Chechnya or Ukraine. Simply stated, by Putin himself, he wanted to put the USSR back together. Period. Putin has written extensively about it.
It's crazy that you think allowing countries to voluntarily join NATO of their own will caused Russia to invade multiple neighboring counties and force them into his Warsaw Pact rerun. This may come as a surprise to you, but sovereign countries can enter into alliances with whoever they choose. Invading your neighbors and forcing them to join your alliance is a war crime.

It is simple. If you look at other drivel from this "journalist", you'll see that he has swallowed the Russian disinformation hook, line and sinker - you just need to read the part about the /leopand tanks.
Make no mistake, the Russians are great and sowing doubt - look at what they've done with elections in various countries.
