Proud owner of Atlantic Blue mk8 as of end of November.
The car was tuned with recently released Unitronic Stage 1 (Jan 6). I replaced the drop in filter with a K&N and removed the baffle, also added a new inlet hose and pipe. The normal driving feel of the car has not changed, normal manual shifting at approx 3k rpm. The real difference comes when you start getting into the throttle and the car throws you back at 3700 rpm. I had a 2019 Jetta GLI with a stage 1 from Unitronic and the difference is very noticeable.
I put 25000 miles on the GLI without any clutch issues and hope the GTI clutch holds up as well.
