I have a 2016 gti manual with APR DP. I went to get the v 2.0 update but it did not seem to be available with the non test pipe. They only had a version 1.2 for the non test pipe, is that correct? I want to make sure to pass emissions. But I also want the most power, high torque tune which the 1.2 did not give you any choice for high or low torque.
If the v2.0 high torque test pipe is more powerfull, I'll flash to that and worry about emissions later since I just passed. Thank you

Typically stock mode is the non testpipes mode. Do you know your Vin? I'll look it up.

I want the high torque V2 non test pipe file, but it was not available, is there an option for that?
V2 non test pipe did not seem to be available at all.

For those of you who have upgraded and are on APR PLUS...are you feeling a big loss of torque down low?

Not at all really....what was noticable is the extra smoothness. Because it was smoother, I initially thought V2 was a hair slower...almost imperceptible but that was the seat of the pants feel.

My initial dragy runs seemed to bear this out, at between 2 and 3 10ths slower in the quarter than my V1 best. But - as it actually turned out....it was the time of year which made more difference here in Florida (v2 was flashed in the peak summer months). This winter I reran dragy and actually beat my V1 best quarter by 3 hundredths lol....13.70 down to 13.67.

Billy bonus....the V2 did this on the 87 Octane APR tuned it for not the 91 as per V1 (I used to run on 93). Try as I might, I have not been able to best the 87 Octane run on v2 even using premium. Hence, I have reached the conclusion I can legitimately be a cheap bastard with the V2 and run 87 all the time....I've logged for knock, so far I've seen none, therefore no need to waste money on premo. Credit to APR for retaining the same sort of overall poke in a much smoother manner and using 87 gas.

Thanks. Unfortunately I do not have the boost gauge. I do like that the auto start defaults to off. I just hooked up my Bluetooth scanner and made a run up the street. The HP appears to still be there, but I guess I prefer it down lower in the rpm range.

HP and torque is not really changed where it falls in the rev range as far as I can tell. What you are probably feeling is the more linear throttle mapping....you will get used to that....your foot will adjust as to how far you need to push and when

This may be a dumb question but what percentage of people have issues with APR Tunes? I’m interested in the stage 1 low torque tune. I don’t plan on doing any additional mods to my car other than my exhaust and I don’t care about having a Cobb AP. I just want to flash and be done with it.
I literally have an authorized APR dealer down the street from me which I figured would make it pretty easy. That being said is the reliability pretty good with a stage 1 tune? I’ve never flashed a car before. I’m apprehensive about essentially giving up 5 years worth of warranty coverage and I’m not interested in the APR+ tune.

This may be a dumb question but what percentage of people have issues with APR Tunes? I’m interested in the stage 1 low torque tune. I don’t plan on doing any additional mods to my car other than my exhaust and I don’t care about having a Cobb AP. I just want to flash and be done with it.
I literally have an authorized APR dealer down the street from me which I figured would make it pretty easy. That being said is the reliability pretty good with a stage 1 tune?

I have had my APR Stage 1 low torque(91) tune for about 11k km now and it's exceeded my expectations. I'm at 57k km now and everything is still running great without issues. My clutch is still holding up just fine but I am very mindful about not abusing it. No regrets here.
