The MK8 is in full production right now & a few videos have now appeared on YouTube.
One thing I note is that they are being fitted with the aluminium front subframe from the Audi A3, (at 1.33) instead of the pressed steel one. The weight reduction of this swap with help explain the minimum 35kg weight reduction quoted for the MK8 Golf. I also note at the same video time frame, the central exhaust tunnel cover is now metal/alu instead of being black plastic with a foil lining to reflect the exhaust heat. Also if you watch at 1:38 the rear twist beam axle has plastic "aero/rough road package" full coverings like the new Polo!!
