Since the 1896 s/w update, the female voice response to “Hello Volkswagen“ has gone and replaced with a beep and a message on screen instead. I’m a bit disappointed with this, has anyone else noticed it?

Yes they change it. Maybe for faster response?

Now you can try this: "Hey vw, tell me a joke"

Hadn’t noticed, but there again I haven’t tried voice control for months. About as much use as a teat on a bull. Ask it to do anything useful like turning to sports mode and it can’t do it. Regarding jokes - it only has one. Pathetic! I would recommend asking Google Home “ Did you fart”.

Voice control is good for music. When you're driving if you want to find a specific artist or song that's a bunch of typing and menus.

Saying "hey google play "Vanilla Ice Ninja Rap" is much easier
