My fathers new black on black manual 1989 Ford Taurus SHO... One of the most underrated cars of all time.

Dad's 2004? Chevy Trailblazer. I could have used a smaller car but the mirrors down in reverse feature was spot on for the parallel parking portion.

I learned in a 2004 Ford Fiesta for most of my lessons, and about a week before the test my instructor bought a brand new Fiesta (2008) so I took the test in a different car to the one I'd learned in! Luckily it wasn't too different to drive and I still passed first time :)

1982 Audi 4000 S "4E".

Passed my test, bought the car from Dad for 15. bucks the next day. He went out and bought a VW Mk. II Jetta Wolfsburg edition...
And the seed was planted.

93 Civic hatch (manual). It was my uncle's second car, I took the test in CA. Test was a joke. We drove around a few streets near the DMV then he had me reverse alongside a curb and that was it. Didn't even hit the highway.

I like how they test folks in Finland. They take driving much more seriously than we do in America. They have more comprehensive training like lessons on a skid pad and driving at night and it takes 3 years before they earn a full license. Our teenagers could use that type of training before getting on the road.

My driving instructor had a 1992 grey Nissan Micra so did most of my learning in that with odd spells in my Dad's 1990 Ford Sierra or my Grandad's 1991 Ford Escort Estate.

Took my drivers test in 2005 in a 1998 Jeep grand cherokee sport.

Funny enough, my dad has still driven that car until now and ordered the replacement car two days ago. That man loves to drive his cars into the ground

I'm in the same boat. Been driving my 98 civic ex since I joined in the Navy in 2002. Going to be replacing her with a 2016 GTI.

1991 Ford Aerostar, that sucker was ridiculous to parallel park and had no ABS, so the emergency stop test was rather... fun.
