Here's the list of all the cars that I have owned, good, bad and ugly. All were used cars except for the GTI which is my first new car EVER.

1968 Triumph GT6 - Horrible beyond words. My fist car and my first bad car purchase. Live and learn.

1966 Austin Healey Sprite - Paid $900 in 1970, great fun car. Bought this my Junior year in High School WITH MY OWN MONEY. Drove it through my first 3 years of college.

1966 Buick Special - BORING - but possibly one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. We paid $600 for this jewel. This car took me from Ft. Worth TX to Phoenix AZ when I attended ASU, as well as a trip from Ft. Wort to Aspen Colorado.

1967 VW Fastback Type III. Purchased in 1980(?) for $800. Really great car. I should have kept this one. I bought it off a used car lot in Alexandria VA. It took me and my Hang-Glider around the DC area, to Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga TN, and finally back to Texas. Never left me stranded.

1970 VW Super Beetle. Paled in comparison to the fastback.

1980(ish) Nissan Sentra - Horrible car. So bland it was almost invisible.

1980 Dodge D50 Ram Truck. This one is probably still being driven somewhere.

1981 BMW 528i. - My most beloved of all. Well balanced, simple, the best paint ever. I bought it used in 1997 and kept it for 5 years.

2001 Honda Accord V6 - The first car that I owned in which everything worked. Died just a few months ago in an accident, 165K miles and still running perfectly.

2013 GTI - Just purchased 90 days ago after the Honda Accord was totaled. I'm having an affair with this one.

1985 Chevy celebrity- first car. Destroyed it in 6 months. Broke the entire front suspension flying over a road with dips to get airborne (16 years old at the time and stupid as hell.)
1992 Chevy beretta- sweet door handles up in the door pillar- huge piece of crap. Broke down several times and for good after about 2 years of regular use.
1997 Nissan hardbody pickup. Worst bench seat of all time. Super reliable. Backed into by drunken college roommate no less than 3 times and still fetched 4k as a trade in 2001 with 90k on it.
2001 Jeep Wrangler- had it for a year and a half. Discovered mods. Decided I needed power, not off road prowess
2000 mustang GT- an auto kept it for 6 months bc I couldn't stand the slush box. Got a great deal though, and it sounded beautiful.
2001 bullitt mustang. A great car. Intake, exhaust, shifter, gears, 10.5 inch rims in the back w/ 315's on it. Still miss it.
2003 Honda s2000. Intake and exhaust, lowered 2 inches and could NOT clear speed bumps. Wife had knee surgery when I had this car and we needed something she could get in and out of better...
2008 a4- thus began my love affair with Ze Germans. APR stage 1, bilstein shocks, eibach springs, rs4 sway bar, gutted air box. Avus s4 rims. Horrible CVT. if it would have been 6spd, I probably would have kept it.
2012 gti- one of my absolute faves so far- haven't found anything I don't like yet! Stage one, took the resonator off, threw an AFE drop in in there and loving it.

I had a '13 FRS which I hated so much I traded it for a '11 Prius :)laugh:) I just wanted out of the Scion and I got an amazing deal on the Prius. I was able to sell the prius 1 month/3K miles after I purchased it for $2k more than I paid.

I ended up with the GTI because thats what I was originally cross shopping the scion with. I love it :D
