Lars Von Trier's film Antichrist was pretty bizarre / "effed up" IMO. Also, the Australian horror film Wolf Creek comes to mind and has some fairly unwatchable scenes.

Horror wise.. hmmm. The original exorcist still has chills down my spine... messing with all that spiritual stuff gets pretty uncomfortable lol

One movie that sticks in my head is Event Horizon. Its an unsettling mix of sci-fi and horror. It is one of those movies you watch and then think "wow, I wish I hadn't watched that! " .

Another couple of movies worth mentioning are Videodrome from 1983, and another movie called Existenz. Similar to Naked Lunch in being pretty abstract and weird.

I was pumped to see that movie reading the description, and the plot is certainly cool. But I am not sure if I am a fan of the acting and Sam Neal plays a shitty horror movie nemesis. In my opinion. BUT! The overall plot is sweet.
