who competes with the modern 911 turbo?

just been thinking about this. its easily as fast and powerful as a ferrari F430 or a lambo gallardo. but those cars look madly outrageous and arent everyday cars.

but the 911 turbo is an everyday car as its quite economical, seats 4 people, has a decent sized boot, plenty of luxury equipment. it cant really be compared to a DB9 or a bentley tho cos theyre just cruisers.

only thing i can think of is maybe the ferrari 612.

911 Direct competitors:

Audi R8 v10
Ferrari F430
Lamborghini Gallardo

The 612 is as big as a DB9 if not bigger. and isnt a competitor to the 911.

The R8 is a V8, the R10 (which isnt out yet) is the V10.

when it comes to the gallardo and F430, id say its the GT3 thats competing with those cars cos that is a hardcore 2 seater supercar that compromises on practicality.

if they make an audi R10, that would be a competitor. the turbo is just too fast for the standard R8.

The GT3 really doesn't compete with the F430 or Gallardo. At least not the standard ones, and even the race specced versions, it's more the F430 CS vs GT3 RS.

The 612 and DB9 compete with the SL63/65, Maserati Coupe, Bentley CGT, to some extent the M6.
