That sucks but it doesn't look anywhere near being totaled. New fender, light, and hood adjustment from what I see in the picture. I had my fender and door replaced and it was about 2300.

Depends on year and mileage and unless he's just running a European plate, accidents in Europe may be more expensive.

Really love my Series 5 GT Diesel. great touring car for me.
but the 45 series 17 standard rubber is not so good for a tour car, out outback Australia (bumpy roads, cattle grids etc). I found a set 4 pasatt 16" rims for $20 a rim on Ebay! So with 215/60 16's mounted my golf is a real touring car now.
