Personally I prefer a true flash vs a piggy back module for a few reasons.
Piggybacks
- are not vehicle specific but rather just a general tune
- have a physical change to the car so you have to remove for dealer work
- usually means they cannot crack the ECU or do not want to spend the money to do so
ECU flash
- vehicle specific so they can see what you have on the car, as well as other parameter readings and create a flash for the specific car
- no physical change, and they often come with a scan tool so you can flash back to stock, check codes, clear them, etc
The JB is nice, cheap and ppl do make power, but at the end of the day I went with ESS Tuning myself.
