Chipping voiding warranty

Honestly only idiot dealers will void your warranty completely that is not chip related. Example like the control arm going bad.

I never had any problems with my local dealer as long as it isn't related to the chip. For example in my previous A4 the fuel pump was a common problem on ( B6 A4, S4), they replaced it under warranty.

On the other hand there is a bulletin out for most dealers to check the cruise control for a specific brand of chip.

most dealerships will not honor warranties when they know the car is modded, however every now and then there will be one who will.

the place where i bought my car honored all warranty work despite the fact that i was stage 2 with a catch can and pendulum mount. however, i never asked them to change my DV or PCV, but bought the part and did the work myself.

and at another dealer, in Buffalo NY, i actually got my stage 2 APR flash. Adam, their APR guy, was a great help and knows a ton about VWs. and i chatted with the tech who works on the modified cars, he was a really cool guy and he gave me an hour off my downpipe install.



since the dealerships are privately owned their practices can very quite a bit, and it's basically up to you to find one that can fit your needs.


bringing a box of donuts in with you for the service guys doesn't hurt either. it actually hurts a lot less than 3 hours of labor.

More info please??? How would they really know without knowing the PIN to unlock it?

it's the APR chip w/ the CC stalk.

get the lockout program they'll be helpless.
