Well, the two aren't connected at all seeing as how the alien from cloverfield was huge and this "alien" fits in a cargo train but thanks for the link

Advan - we know super 8 isn't a cloverfield sequel but that could just be viral marketing to throw everyone else.
1. according to multiple sources the monster in cloverfield is a child - the monster in super 8 could be the baby or even the original mother or something.
2. another thing (dont read unless you've seen the trailer) - the monster is breaking out of the cargo and the handle is turning - the cloverfield monster does have hands (sort of)
J.J. Abrams is simply crazy... i still believe its related to cloverfield. also cloverfield is deemed 1.18.08 which has 3 8s. Super 8?
