I have one on my hand right now. Switchable Forge BOV.

Should I fitted on my car? Is the spacer will damages any part of my engine or the electronic valves diverter from the stock or even damage the turbo ? Pls advised..

Attn to: Dubdr ( How is your FORGE BOV ? Is just the noise maker or cool stuff ? )

in advances thanks for the assist guys.

The BOV spacer will give no performance gains that i know of.. An actual, full DIV or BOV will increase responsiveness and in some cases increase performance. The stock DIV has a rubber Diaphram, and after time (especially if you are running higher boost) that rubber diaphram gets weak and starts to let pressure leak out while the car is trying to boost. I had that problem on my A4, took longer to build boost, and then when it finally built the boost, it had a hard time holding it due to the faulty DIV. Higher boost applications require stronger springs in the DIV/BOV's. So, IMO, the spacer would be for sound only, if you are looking for better performance, i would just replace the whole valve, though the increase in performance is in most cases not noticable. Unless your current DIV is faulty. Hope that helps

That's it just dump her

I would say it's most likely that VW designed it that way so people don't get turned off by the sound. Think of any factory turbo car. None of them have blow off valves because only a true car enthusiast would like that sound. For example I showed my girlfriend the A3 movieclip with the forge spacer and all she could say was "isn't that sound annoying?".

Non car enthusiasts just don't understand.

Dump your girl dude, she doesn't understand you fast. :laughabove:

I've got the Forge BOV on my GTI and I really like it. I am sure it is for sound only because i havn't noticed and difference, if anything I think the shifting is smoother. For $65 on eBay I think this is a great way to make a fun car Really FUN to drive!

did he just say that the blow off valve made the shifting smoother.......... i just read this whole forum in one shot... and people asked the SAME questions 100 times so here

-the BOV spacer wont give you any performance gains
-the BOV spacer is all just for the noise so people are like, "Damn yo that cars phat!"
-and no the bov spacer wont make your car shift smoother.

sorry for being so mean but just read the thread before you post anything.

Ok i just got the BOV spacer installed on my GTI, and i don't know if it's not very compatible with a 2008 or what, but i've noticed when driving that when i come to a stop the engine will stall out sometimes and i drive an automatic so i don't think that should happen. IF anyone has any new information about this, please let me know
