what's the best lens kit that you could use on a daily base.

depends on your price range...could be anywhere from 250-thousands. but here are a couple you could look into. keep in mind, these dont go really wide so i would highly suggest getting a wide angle lens..especially for those rolling shots:wink:

ive never personally used these lenses cuz i shoot nikon, but these are suggestions with me banking on them being similar quality to nikons lenses.

pro-sumer grade..decent all around lens.

another decent all around lens

this is a great all around lens for being from a third party company

one of the best wide angles for the price..comparable to canon/nikon equivalents.

if you have deeper pockets then we can talk about prettier lenses haha

this is an important choice. once you buy into one family of cameras you get stuck (due to lens purchases and accessories etc..) I have a Nikon D200 and love it. i started with a d40x and was very happy with it. I would suggest going with Nikon. They are solid. Cannon is said to have better lenses but the bodies are junk

i have to say after today i learned a lot about the Canon XTi just from one member here.

i think you should look into a camera with more options, because eventually you will learn how to use it the right way.

canon website helped a lot, and showed all the options, and shooting modes, etc.

Subscribed - I want to buy a new camera at the end of this month too and I've been debating between a Nikon D200 or Rebel XTi.
