schmoser boser....
I dont know how much everyone has played MW2 but there is quite a few differences.
The Kill streaks, weapons, and tactical grenades alone have changed the game a good amount. Again thats if you really got into MW2 you should be able to see the difference.

The Range of knifing has been drastically changed from MW2 to MW3. Also there is different strike packages (assault, support, specialist) Thats a huge difference, since you really need to have a mix of different players on a team. As for the way the weapon fires, i think that has greatly changed (hint the proficiency) perks that are concentrated on firing, kick, and flinch.

I dono :iono:, i think if anyone had really came from MW2 to MW3 they would see a big difference in online game play.

you dont understand everyones problem with the game.....

I saw a video yesterday showing how the reused some buildings from MW2

From what Ive played, I think it should have been called MW2.5 and cost $30

changed it, so it didn't look, feel and play exactly the same

Add bullet drop, add destructible environments, change the way bodies/objects react to a nearby blast, slow down and decrease the range of knifing, have weapons react a little more realistically when fired... basically make it less sped up and artificial feeling. I do like the decreased damage from explosive weapons they implemented, but can't think of much else.

on bullet drop: snipers in MW3 wanted quickscoping not super serious bullet drop corriolis effect improvements that were challenging to our armed forces snipers. it's just part of the COD gamestyle. not to mention, the majority of firefights in COD do not necesitate a bullet drop environment - the maps are pretty small.

i've never really understood the importance of destructable environments in video games... so the building crumbles when you shoot it... ok... who gives 3 fucks?

knifing i get, but i've noticed that the bullets in MW3 multiplayer actually have some stopping powerbehind them. several times last night my bullets from the M4 stopped a rushing knife player at maybe 5 ft away... maybe i'm wrong, but it still stopped the fucker whereas in other COD titles, it would not have stopped them.

the weapons were improved... at least from what i've played so far - they captured the M4 pretty much spot on and the ACR is beast in this game as well. not to mention the P90.

and wait... so you like the way they decreased the damage from explosive weapons, but you want more reactions to bodies from a nearby blast? please explain.

I prestiged 4 or 5 times before I just stayed at 70 for the next few hundred hours I played it.... I'm familiar enough. Different tastes I guess, if you're happy with it you're happy with it. I'm not that impressed with it and would have liked something more/different. I'm not satisfied with bf3 either but viewing it as the next battlefield installment as opposed to a bad company release pretty much explains or addresses my issues with it for the most part. I prefer it to mw3 and will most likely stick to playing it for the next few months. At that time I'll probably pick up mw3 just for the "change of pace".

Don't care what quick scopers want, it would be more to my liking with bullet drop, more challenging and less cheap.

Because the camper on the other side of the wall is now exposed for one and for two... that's what happens when you hit a wall with explosives...

So you're claiming to have fired an m4 and think the in game gun is an accurate representation of shooting it in real life? I don't agree. Not that I would look to be able to achieve that in a game but they could do better.

Never said I wanted it to be more, just more realistic, I like the weaker blast because it deters noob tubers a bit

I do, everyone who is hating on it was expecting an un-real, mind blowing completely different game. But in reality it is a pretty big step up from MW2. Yes its similar, but guess what its made from the same designers. Its suppose to be similar, why would i buy MW3 and expect it to play like BF3?

MW3 is more of a fast paced, run and gun gameplay. If you were looking for slow paced tactical online experience stick with BF3.

never fired an M4 - i've been to the range with people that have shot M4s. I have fired a M16 and the M16 is pretty much up to par in the game.

on bullet drop - guess we'll have to agree to disagree. i understand the concept in the game - great that you want a more challenging game but that's just the way COD is. i personally don't snipe in COD - i've never been good at it and prefer assault rifles and smgs

exposing campers with destructive environments is understandable, but that's where flanking and use of flashbangs/concussion grenades come into effect. not to mention the new EMP secondary grenade that takes out electronics within a certain radius.

needless to say, i'm very satisfied with MW3.

No, we wanted something improved, we didn't get that. It's a rehash with very little effort put into it. I wasn't looking for bf3, I have that already, but just the same I wasn't looking for mw2 all over again and that's a lot closer to what they delivered. This could have been delivered via a dlc release.

That's the thing, playing the same game is no longer fun, you finally got it. I don't take any video game seriously, but I will weigh in with my opinion. Sorry it's not your's :)

I would be more satisfied if I paid 30 for a mw2.5 like someone mentioned.

It's kinda like the iphine 4 and iphone 4s I guess. Very little changed yet people still shelled out the money to get the new one and infinity ward knew that would happen.

So I played for an extended amount of time last night for the first time and came to a few conclusions. The game play is fast and fluid, which is awesome. The gun levels and attachments along with the way your equipment is unlocked and picked is a really cool take on it. The levels are large and intricate which I also like it's just going to take getting used too. The kill streaks are cool but I'm not sure if I like or dislike the way you can get support streaks (too many uavs and such)

Overall I think I may have bashed the game too soon. Sure it's similiar to MW2 but like people mentioned before it does have enough differences to be better and different. I would rate the game highly and recommend anyone to buy it.
