Yes. Asked me about any faults. Which I did not see any. No DTC. What’s weird is it went away after a few restarts and idling. But then the next day it was back

My built engine sounds just like that. If there's no codes and it runs fine I wouldn't worry about it. If something randomly fails that soon then the shop is responsible anyway

True. It does run smooth. No faults. It has a 2 year 24k warranty as long as it doesn’t have a melted piston or signs of detonation.

While it was apart I sanded the bumper cover and had the hood and bumper cover resprayed due to a shitload of rock chips. #puremichigan. Will be doing PPF now.

Alright so I have an oil leak. Everything above the pan is clean and dry. I suspect the seal at the plastic lower pan or worst case it’s cracked. It’s dripping onto the axle which appears to be flinging it on the fender liner. It also only seems to happen while the engine is running. Looking for insight here. It’s likely going back to the engine builder to figure out.

Ah, yep. I know a couple guys that had mk5/6s built there. I'm sure Zach will take care of it if they touched the pan. Hopefully you can bring this out to their open house this year, would love to see it.

I forgot to update here when I started another thread regarding my issue. Vast repaired the oil leak. It was the lower pan gasket. I cannot seem to get the cooling system bled. Tried vacuum bleeding twice. I’ve tried every trick. The P3 still shows the coolant temp creep up and not cool back down and the fans never come on. I dug around the forums and found a few others that posted the same issue. I don’t understand how some have been able to bleed their coolant and others not. Referring to the official VW manual for mk7 it says to use their scan tool to operate the bleed procedure after vacuum filling. So I towed it to the dealership in hopes that’s all it is. I can’t imagine a perfectly working water pump I removed and reinstalled would suddenly take a dump.
I have cabin heat. The coolant doesn’t boil over. It’s like there is a flow problem which would indicate a air pocket. The temps fluctuate oddly if I drive.
The obd temp reads from the sensor in the head. But there is also a sensor in the lower radiator outlet which I believe triggers the fans. There is a temperature discrepancy between the two which I suspect is causing the fans to not kick on.
I know the fans work because I did an output test via VCDS. Also turning on AC triggers the fans. Unplugging the coolant sensor defaults the car to trigger the fans as well.
No faults no dtc

Everything appears to be working now. It still runs hotter than it used to. Is it the fresh motor? The Turbo? I don’t get it. But it’s not overheating and the fans came on low.
