I was thinking about this today. There will be a lot of money spent and lots of ways to make money, for those involved. It could be an awesome reconstruction. I have hope that it will be a boon to Ukraine’s future.

The problem with Ukraine continues to be rampant corruption and many companies will get themselves into deep shit with US and EU authorities.

I’d think that problem would have gotten better. Seems like an awesome opportunity. I’d want to comment about oversight but I kind of get tired of this roundy-round.

They've been trying to get better, but realistically, the Ukrainians have oligarchs just like the Russians - but - while the Russians sank deeper into corruption after the fall of the Soviet Union, the Ukrainians started to dig themselves out, but they still have significant issues. The only way to do business there and not go to jail here is through some international organization (World Bank, UN, State etc.)
