Good news from my dealer!

My local main dealer called me yesterday to confirm my GTI was now definately built and is waiting shipment to the UK:thumbsup:

Been waiting since 16/1/06 when I officially ordered it:cry:

Should be ready for collection week 17:thumbup:

The spec:

5 Door
Shadow Blue Metallic
Leather
6 Disc CD
Sunroof
Multi-Function Computer (highline)
18" Monza II Alloys
Cruise Control
Winter Pack

Oh and a dettachable towbar:laugh:

Had to share my good news with you guys :biggrin: :biggrin:

Ordered mine 1st week in Feb and local main dealer confident my GTI will be shipped and ready week 15/16 - hope so.....not hear offical

also hope to pick a good reg number, and want to enquire what if any parameters can be set up by the dealer, such as door opening configuration
Looking forward to saving £15 on road tax after the budget this week think the GTi is now in lower emissions tax band !!!

will want to get rubber mats, and front mud flaps

Sometimes they can add or change a current order so thats why yours might have been on a short leadtime!

It is good news about the tax although mines a company car so it won't affect me!

I have been told I should have a choice of around 6 plates but I've been looking a personal plates for it anyway:thumbsup:

Mine was £25K but got a free boot liner, first service and tow bar at cost.

Not much to deal on list price, company car as well so no trade in.

paying list price, but part-ex fixed. Tried hard and haggled the only thing I could get out of them was a bottle of wine, would be nice if VW UK would throw a sweetern in like a "fast" or something else

I'm afraid it is true.... I will get you some pics once it arrives, I have asked that the electrics are as high as possible as I don't want to see it when its not attached:wink:
