Hi,

Has anyone tried updating their MIB3 system themselves. I’ve found a website with the new 1941 update file on it and was wondering if anyone had tried to do the update with a USB-C stick.

I have used files from website before to update mib2 so was wondering if anyone has given it a go with their mk8 golf mib3 system.

I have put a link to a YouTube video where someone does it themselves:

The update file is called MOI3_EU_VW_R9410L(1941)

Does anyone know why it skips these two updates?

That is because there were no updates for those two modules

I have the 7zip file, and there are updates to ethernet (~36mb) and mercyry (~15mb).

I have an old MIB3 TPI 2060277 how to update and it says:

When the software update is complete, a result screen will appear. Successful sections are marked with the symbol "OK".

EDIT:
Ethernet are not changed at all from 1899 vs 1941
Mercury folder looks same

Hey tos...Isn't The 1941 software, part of the OUG1 Recall? Has the OUG1 began to roll out online yet?

No OUG1 is just the software update 144 for the OCU telematics control unit..
The download size is around 130 mb.
There has been a few Golf 8 that got this update already…

Some people have had that OTA at this week.

My version history 1803 -> 1890 (VW) -> 1896 (OTA) -> 1899 (VW) ->1941
