My 97 year old mother grew up in Austria as the Russians came in at the end of WWII and she says she is re-living all that. They were happy when the Americans, Brits and the French came in. I'm not sure that they've changed much in the years since then.

This is what happens in Ukraine :

Parts of Eastern Ukraine become Russia. The entire ruling authority of Ukraine gets killed and a pro Russian regime gets put in place. The west complains and states solidarity with Ukraine but don't really do much. A year and a half later all this goes away.

On the face of it odd, but what if mama and papa are in the army?

There are undoubtedly many reasons to send kids to daycare.

Mama in the army in Eastern Europe isn't a thing. But I get it, there are extraordinary circumstances.
