If you can find half inch wide for less, do that. Or get the one inch an cut it in half.

So reading thru all this thread if you had the choice to just go one or the other what sub would you go with. I’m ready to pull the trigger on this modification but I’d like to hear your opinions. I would like to retain the factory covers if possible. I know I will have to grind and epoxy. Not a big deal. Memphis sub the best one? Do you have a current link?

I may eventually do the doors to balance things out more. Not sure I will touch the tweeters yet or not though.

Well I installed the Kicker Sub. Ha missed the whole "memphis is better" Dammit haha.

Super easy. Modified the gasket so everything is reversible if I need to....Um I think it sounds better? hahaha I need to drive around more but yes it does go lower. I put in a ol DJ Magic Mike CD just to see.......yep Fender couldn't keep up AT ALL before.

Not winning any competitions but it's lower....

Thanks to Hoffman's Iron Law, a lower efficiency driver is needed to get lower bass out of the same size enclosure.
